Rachel Skybetter

Rachel is a senior at Indiana University and has been working for the Indiana Daily Student since her freshman year. In summer of 2007, she interned at Time Out Chicago, a what-to-do, where-to-go weekly magazine in her hometown.
She is an avid thespian and brings her fondness and knowledge for the arts to her job. As secretary of the IU SPJ chapter she uses her organizational skills to maintain record of the meetings. She looks forward to planning interesting events and seeing the group expand.

Zach Garrison

Zach is a senior at Indiana University studying Journalism and Political Science with a concentration in public relations. After writing, designing and managing his high school newspaper he knew the journalism field was for him.
While at IU, he has enjoys involvement with campus organizations such as residence hall student government, SAE fraternity, and now SPJ. In his sophomore year, he joined an attempt to re-charter Sigma Alpha Epsilon and change the stereotypical “frat” image on campus. Starting from a group of five, SAE looks to have over 40 members and gain its charter at IU in the spring of 2008. Although a PR student, Zach sees the importance of joining SPJ and protecting first amendment rights.

James Brosher

Indiana University Class of 2010
James is a junior at Indiana University majoring in Journalism and Germanic Studies. He has worked full-time at the Indiana Daily Student as a page designer, photographer and writer since his freshman year. After he graduates, he hopes to work at a large-circulation newspaper as a page designer.
In the summer of 2006 before he started college, he interned at The Commercial Review, a small hometown newspaper in Portland, Ind. During his internship, he wrote several feature stories, took photos and designed pages. Although he considers himself primarily a designer, he can do a little bit of everything.
This summer, he was a page design intern at the South Bend Tribune in northern Indiana.
He currently works as the photo editor for the Indiana Daily Student.

David Boeyink

Journalism Associate Professor
David has been a faculty member of the IU School of Journalism since 1987. Before coming to the university, he was the opinion page editor of the Messenger-Inquirer in Owensboro, Ky. from 1978 to 1987. His teaching and research areas include ethics, reporting, editorial writing and college pedagogy.
 
 
 

Amy Reynolds

Indiana University School of Journalism Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies / Associate Professor
Amy teaches law and broadcast journalism. Prior to joining the IU School of Journalism in 2000, she was an assistant professor at the University of Oklahoma and at Miami University of Ohio. She has previous journalism experience as a television reporter, producer and news director. Her print journalism experience is as a newspaper reporter and as managing editor of an alternative wire service. Her Ph.D. is from the University of Texas (1998).
