From London to Paris: In the Footsteps of Ernie Pyle

The School of Journalism offers a four-credit, semester-long course on the life and times of Indiana native Ernie Pyle, one of America’s most famous World War II correspondents. The class includes spring break travel to Europe and is led by professor Owen V. Johnson, an Ernie Pyle historian.
The week in Europe will include travel to London, Normandy and Paris. Students will visit the Imperial War Museum, the H.M.S. Belfast, the Cabinet War Rooms, historic Omaha and Utah beaches, and Mont-Saint-Michel Cathedral.
The class is considered a journalism research elective and is open to juniors, seniors and graduate students only.
