I don’t really think theres anything wrong with have that as a show on TV. If you have a problem with it, just don't watch it. Some people might enjoy it, others might be against it. If you don't like it, change the channel.

With more viewers using technology that allows you to skip and block television advertising, infomercials will only increase in number and cunning. But it doesn’t stop there, there are a LARGE number of drama shows that have been dreamed up not by writers, but marketers for the SOLE purpose of advertising.

If they are specifically trying to deceive viewers into thinking they are watching a show rather than an infomercial, then I think it's unethical and should be illegal. If they are clearly state and make it known that it is a paid advertisement, then I don't see anything wrong with it.

In my opinion, infomercials and ads are the same thing. Infomercials give information of why you should get this product or that product. Ads are the same but often times, written or printed in a newspaper.

I think that there is a time for news, and also a time for adds. I would prefer news being the most important, but since Television broadcasting after all is for "Entertainment puposes", there will most likely have broadcasts that people will enjoy watching, rather then report some old crocodile guy who died. Most people will prefer watching the new cologne or fragance that celeberties advertise with a certain brand-company, because sadly after all this world is all based on money. Basically the more viewers they get, the more money they'll have. and since not that many people watch the news oh so often as they used to, the ads and infomercials are taking up important time that we could be learning about important issues.

I do agree that infomercials are getting into regular broadcasting. But I am not affected by it all too much. The world of media is becoming something different, and even though some would like to keep to the old ways, like I do, we can't really stop the media from moving forward and producing different ads.
