To his readers, Ernie Pyle was a master of telling the story of the little guy, of describing the fears and daily strife of soldiers fighting in World War II.

This was such an interesting website, thanks. I found one of these comics in my Father's belongings feom 1944 (the year I was borne) and wanted to know a little bit about who was responsible for it. Is there a website that might show the value?
Thanks,

I've just discovered your site. I want to thank you for making all this available. It is especially good to listen to the columns being read aloud. My father was a medic with the 45th Division in N Africa, Sicily, Italy, France & Germany. I appreciate being able to read and hear the eloquent words of someone who was at those same places; someone who saw many of the same things my father did. Thank you again.
