Doctoral student Anas Alahmed presented his work at the Social Media and Communication Symposium at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y., Sept. 29.

His paper, "Cyberactivism and the Challenges of Social and Political Change: The case of Saudi Arabia," examines how and why cyberactivism in Saudi Arabia may be effective in changing political decisions and society.
