Assistant professor Emily Metzgar is co-author of an article just published in Political Communication, "Media Coverage of the U.S. Supreme Court: How Do Journalists Assess the Importance of Court Decisions?"  Kaitlyn L. Sill and Stella M. Rouse are co-authors.

The article describes the importance of media coverage of court activities, then examines news values and judgements leading to news coverage.
