Associate professor Owen V. Johnson is the author of the review essay, "TV in Russia," in the Winter 2011 issue of Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly.

He examines the state of Western research on Russian television as he evaluates three recently published books on the subject.
This semester, Johnson is teaching J624 Russian and East European Mass Media, which includes students not only from the School of Journalism but also from the Department of History and the Russian and East European Institute.
