About Sean Morrison

About this site

A dozen Indiana University students spent three weeks reporting on the work of AMPATH, a healthcare partnership between the medical schools at IU and Moi University that is saving the lives of thousands in western Kenya.

Sean Morrison is a senior who has covered sports extensively. This was his first trip out of the country.

His reporting focused on male attitudes about HIV/AIDS and how the virus challenges traditional notions of masculinity. “I discovered a new journalistic passion, one that is much more substantial than the others I’ve held.” He plans to do more reporting on the developing world. “I’ve made my focus in reporting to tell the stories that haven’t been told.”

His reporting partner was Catherine Kafu.
