Workshop to bring professionals
for one-on-one consultations

Oct. 20, 2009
Students can tap into the expertise of three working media professionals at a special workshop Nov. 13.

Alumni Andrew Countryman (BA ‘83, MA ‘91), assistant business editor at the Chicago Tribune; Larra Overton (BAJ ‘05), reporter for WTWO-TV and Big Ten Network; and Scott Goldberg (BAJ ‘94), vice president at Fleishman-Hillard public relations firm in Chicago will be on campus to give students direct feedback about their work.

Each professional will spend 20 minutes with each student to provide a one-on-one consultation, giving suggestions about how to improve.

Students interested in participating should gather their best materials and submit them, with a cover letter and resume, to administrative assistant Linda Long in the journalism office no later than Oct. 27. The experts will review the materials in advance.
