Accreditation is achieved by experienced public relations professionals after successful completion of the Examination for Accreditation, which includes a presentation of a portfolio to a Readiness Review panel of three peers and sitting for a computer-based examination.
The School of Journalism's public relations program received accreditation from the Public Relations Society of America in 2008 and is one of 21 colleges and universities nationally that have received the Certification in Public Relations Education.
