Gena Asher | Nov. 6, 2008
Professor Kris Wilson of the journalism program at Emory University in Atlanta will talk on "Global Warming is a Scam: Tracking Skeptical TV Weathercasters’ Attitudes About Climate Change” at 4 p.m. Nov. 13 in Ernie Pyle Lounge.

Wilson was one of the first to study climate change and how that information is passed along to the public through television weathercasters, and he continues to be a leader in this research area.

Wilson worked as a TV news director, producer, anchor, reporter and weather anchor. He earned a doctorate in geography from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a master’s degree from Ohio State University, where he was a Kiplinger Fellow and specialized in environmental journalism.
