Website looking for student journalists

Interested in getting some published clips? The School of Journalism Web site has a few positions open for students who can report, shoot photos and take on a few special projects during the spring semester.

Web editor Gena Asher is looking for candidates who can:
  • Report and write news features on deadline.
  • Provide five to 10 photos with each assignment.
  • Compile short videos.
  • Create podcasts.
  • Cenerate story ideas on your own.
  • Work on special projects, such as compiling calendars and newsletters, and repurposing work for different media.
If you are capable of any two or more of those, and you have experience in student media, internships or other advanced work, apply online no later than 11:59 p.m. Dec. 14.

Pay is $10 per hour for assignments that typically take one to three hours each to complete. Typically, Web journalists complete one to three such assignments per month. Assignments are sporadic throughout the semester.
