Roy Howard Professor David Weaver participated in a symposium March 27-28 on the impact of the Internet on journalism education and theories of mass communication in honor of Philip Meyer’s retirement from the faculty of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
Weaver contributed a paper and talk on the role of the Internet in the flow of information from media to opinion leaders to the public and its implications for the agenda-setting function of news media.
