Roy W. Howard Professor David Weaver attended the annual conference of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) at the University of Stockholm, where he and former IU journalism faculty member Randy Beam presented a paper co-authored with Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies Bonnie Brownlee. The paper is based on the 2007 American Journalist update study, "Professionalism of U.S. Journalists: Have Things Changed in the Turbulent Times of the 21st Century?"
Weaver also participated in a panel session, "Journalism in Democratic Societies: Normative Theories of the Media" and chaired a research paper session, "Journalism Education Across the Media Divides."
Professor emerita Christine Ogan also attended this conference.
