Wayne Wanta, professor at the School of Media and Strategic Communications, Oklahoma State University, will talk on "New Research Agendas in Agenda-Setting" at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7 in the Ernie Pyle Hall lounge.

Agenda-setting research traditionally has concentrated on how the agenda of issues covered in the news media influences the perceived importance of those issues among members of the public. Resent research, however, has begun to examine several different types of agendas, says Wanta, who will discuss some of those during his talk.
