UNLV professor to present research on media messages, climate change

UNLV’s Susannah Priest visits Monday. She is a professor at the school’s Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies.
Susannah Priest, a professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies, visits Monday, April 5, to give a talk at 12:30 p.m. in the Ernie Pyle lounge titled “Understanding the Impact of Media Messages about Climate Change.”

The guest of professor Lars Willnat, Priest focuses her research on communicating science, technology, environment and health, and public perception of issues. She edits the journal Science Communication and is author of many articles and book chapters. She has edited three books in mass communication studies: Communication Impact: Designing Research that Matters; A Grain of Truth: The Media, the Public, and Biotechnology; and Doing Media Research: An Introduction.
