Work on your golf swing in time for the ninth annual Take It Easy Open July 18 at The Links golf club in New Palestine, Ind.The golf outing benefits the John M. Jackson Memorial Scholarship established in honor of Jackson, an IU student who died in 1996 of a brain aneurysm. The IU senior had been IDS editor-in-chief the summer before his death.
Alumni, including JR Ross and other friends, started the outing in 2001 to keep Jackson’s memory alive. The outing in Jackson’s hometown of New Palestine has since raised more than $45,000 for scholarships.
Register by July 11, 2009.
