Szymanski to serve as panelist on same sex marriage, elections

Adjunct lecturer Zakary Szymanski will serve on a panel on same sex marriage and the 2008 elections at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, in Education 1120 (the auditorium).

The Gender Studies Department is hosting the panel, "Same Sex Marriage and the 2008 Elections." Other panelists include Marlon Bailey, Gender Studies and African American and African Diaspora Studies; Maria Bucur, History and Gender Studies; Sara Friedman, Anthropology and Gender Studies; and Mary Gray, Communication and Culture.

Szymanski covered politics many years when he lived in California and can share history of the issue in that state for the panel discussion.
