Though fewer students fill classrooms, summer sessions continue to draw those wishing to catch up, get ahead or enjoy the slower pace of IU and Bloomington in summer.

May 6, Summer Session I begins.
May 26, Memorial Day. No classes.
June 12, last day of classes for Summer I.
June 13, Summer Session II begins.
June 16-27, High School Journalism Institute teacher sessions.
July 4, Independence Day. No classes.
July 13-23, High School Journalism Institute student sessions.
Aug. 8, last day of classes for Summer II.
Aug. 31, summer graduation.
Aug. 13 to Sept. 1, semester break.
Sept. 1, Labor Day. No classes.
Sept. 2, Fall 2008 classes begin.
