Students’ work to air on international broadcast

Journalism students Eric Stearley’s and Andrew Olanoff's work will air during an international homelessness radio telethon Feb. 23.

Their work, created for last fall’s J460 Community Journalism class, is scheduled to be part of the 14th annual Homelessness Marathon originating from Kansas City, Mo., 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. eastern time. Olanoff's is set to air at 7 p.m. and Stearley's at 1 a.m.

The broadcast is carried on more than 100 American radio stations as well as Free Speech Television, which airs on Dish Network, and 40 Canadian radio stations. Locally, WFHB, 91.3 FM, will air the marathon.
