Get your materials together in time for the Jan. 27 deadline to apply for the Society of Professional Journalists Mark of Excellence Awards.

The contest recognizes exceptional work by student journalists in print, radio, television, photography and online media. The contest is open to anyone enrolled in a college or university in the U.S. and studying for an academic degree in 2009.

To be eligible, work must have been published or broadcast during the 2009 calendar year.
