| Kathy Sunsdahl, an account supervisor for Caldwell VanRiper, offered advice to junior Rachel Krasnow at the Experts Workshop last fall. Students get networking opportunities as well as feedback on their work. |
The Experts Workshop brings in alumni who are working professionals from a range of media to campus each semester. Guests for this event are Sally Abbey, MA'97, executive managing editor of Seventeen Magazine in New York, and Cheryl Jackson, BA'83, MA'04, reporter for CNN in Chicago.
The two will evaluate students' work in advance and meet one-on-one for 20 minutes with each student who signs up, giving them advice about their work and answering their questions about opportunities in the media.
Students who want to participate must sign up for appointments no later than 5 p.m. Monday, March 28. Take five to seven newspaper clips to undergraduate assistant Linda Long in the Ernie Pyle Hall main office.
