School to host receptions Thursday

Students who have made it to Bloomington this week are welcome to attend several School of Journalism events Thursday, Aug. 26.
  • 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Welcome breakfast for graduate students in State Room East in the Indiana Memorial Union.
  • 2 p.m.: New Ernie Pyle Scholars meet in the Ernie Pyle Hall library.
  • 2 p.m.: New Media Scholars meet in the Ernie Pyle Hall lounge (second floor).
  • 3 p.m.: All new students gather in the Ernie Pyle Hall auditorium (EP220) for a welcome session featuring faculty and staff introductions and a panel of older students who will talk about ways to get involved in internships, media jobs on campus and at the school.
Classes begin Monday, Aug. 30. The school will sponsor free lunch that day from noon to 1:30 p.m., so be sure to stop by the Ernie Pyle Hall library for food and to mingle with other students, faculty and staff.
