School sets spring colloquia schedule

The School of Journalism’s spring Research Colloquium series features two distinguished faculty members, four doctoral students and two scholars from outside the school, all of whom will discuss their research projects.

Here's the lineup:
  • Jan. 12: Doctoral candidate Seong Choul Hong
  • Jan. 26: Doctoral student Jessica Birthisel
  • Feb. 9: Professor David Nord on “‘Plain and Certain Facts’: Four episodes of public affairs reporting in 18th century Boston”
  • Feb. 23: Lukasz Przybysz, University of Warsaw doctoral student
  • March 9: Jayanth Krishnan, IU Maurer School of Law professor, and director of India Initiative, Center on the Global Legal Profession
  • March 23: Doctoral candidate ChangHee Choi
  • April 6: Doctoral candidate Ammina Kothari
  • April 20: Roy W. Howard Professor David Weaver

All colloquia are at 4 p.m. in the Ernie Pyle Hall lounge and are open to all. The series provides a venue for scholars to present their ongoing work for discussion with colleagues.
