Recipients must be students in good standing in the School of Journalism who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Those who are pre-journalism also will be considered but must be accepted for admission as journalism majors no later than May 31, 2010, to receive funds for the 2010-11 academic year.
Students may see the list of scholarships at the Scholarships page. To apply, go to the Forms page and click on 2010 Undergraduate Scholarship Application.
The application form requires that you fill in your journalism GPA and your overall cumulative GPA (available in OneStart). Please keep in mind that if you are a current freshman, you will not have a GPA to fill in until after grades are final at the end of December. For all students, to obtain your latest grade information for the application, you should submit your application after fall grades are final.
One other scholarship is open to seniors who are graduating in December, May or August. Those interested in the Ross Hazeltine Travel Scholarship should complete a separate application listed on the Forms page. This scholarship funds post-graduate travel to complete a special project.
