A new service allows journalism students to browse job and internship listings from 24 countries.
Going Global, Inc., offers leads to jobs as well as tips and advice on employment trends, salaries, work permits and visas, and online networking with other people who have conducted their own searches. The Web-based company offers its job services to corporations, universities and government agencies around the world. The School of Journalism partnered with Going Global earlier this month.
“It offers another tool for those who want to intern abroad,” said Career Services Director Marcia Debnam. “It connects the user to jobs, not all in media, as well as offers information about what is necessary to work in those countries, such as work permits and visas.”
To access Going Global, click this link. Only IU journalism students may access the material, and user names and password are necessary to log in.
