The Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, Fla., provides training for journalists at all skill  levels and for media leaders.
School of Journalism graduate students who want to improve their reporting skills may enroll in a special program March 10-15 at the Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, Fla., a leading training school for journalists at all levels.

The weeklong session will focus on enterprise journalism, which is based on developed sources rather than breaking news. Students who complete the program will earn a certificate in enterprise journalism.

As a part of the program, students will spend two days at the institute, learning from top journalism instructors, as well as will work with the award-winning enterprise journalism team at the Tampa Bay Times.

Senior Associate Dean Lesa Hatley Major will lead the group. Cost is $500, which covers transportation, lodging, travel and some meals.
