School hosts Inland Press photojournalism contest

Sit in on the professional photo judging process and hear photojournalism pros talk about their work at the Inland Press Association’s news picture contest at Ernie Pyle Hall Sept. 21.

Open judging of professional members’ work begins at 3 p.m. in Ernie Pyle Hall library, back room. Associate professor Jim Kelly, who is organizing the event, said anyone may drop by to watch the judging and review the entries until 5 p.m.

At 7 p.m., two photographers will talk and show their work in a public talk in EP 214. Darron Cummings, Associated Press staff photojournalist based in Indianapolis, and Charlie Nye, multimedia photojournalist at the Indianapolis Star, each will show recent work and answer questions from the audience.
