The School of Journalism scholarship ceremony April 9 will honor students who are receiving funding and other awards as part of the school’s scholarship program.

Attendees include recipients and their families, incoming freshman for the 2011-12 year and donors who provide the scholarship funds.

Students who have been awarded scholarships must be present at the ceremony, which will be at 2 p.m. in Alumni Hall in the Indiana Memorial Union. Many will meet the scholarship donors in person.

Scholarships include the Ross Hazeltine Travel Scholarship, which sends a graduating student abroad to continue a project, and the Justin M. Druck Scholarship, which funds one student all four years of his or her journalism studies.

The school also awards numerous others that support internships and provide funding for students pursuing specific areas of journalism.
