Associate professor Steve Raymer‘s portrait of Norman Borlaug, winner of the 1970 Nobel Peace Prize for saving hundreds of millions of lives as the father of the green revolution, appears in the Sept. 28 edition of Time magazine worldwide.

Borlaug died earlier this month. Raymer worked with Deirdre Finzer Read, a former student and Time magazine picture editor, to obtain the image from the National Geographic archive and wrote the final caption on his Apple iPhone a few hours before the page closed in New York.
