Associate professor Steve Raymer gave an illustrated lecture about the global Indian diaspora Friday to an international conference called "Migration: Challenges and Opportunities in the New Age of Mobility" at Principia College at Alton, Ill.
Among Raymer’s fellow speakers and panels were Jorge Castaneda, former foreign minister of Mexico and a professor at New York University; Doris Meissner, former Commissioner of U.S. Immigration and Naturalization during the Clinton Administration; Julia Preston, a New York Times correspondent who covers immigration; and Konrad Motyka, supervisor of the FBI’s Asian Criminal Enterprise Squad.
