The deadline to apply for Poynter Scholarships is Oct. 22. Current juniors may apply online at this link.
Preference is given to an undergraduate journalism major who has completed his/her junior year and is dedicated to news/editorial journalism. The recipient of the scholarship is offered a summer internship with the St. Petersburg Times.
Other scholarship applications for the 2008-2009 academic year will be available by mid- to late-November. Deadlines are in mid-January.
