Doctoral candidates Kevin Grieves and Kim Trager will host a research panel, Spotlight on International Media Research, at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, in the Ernie Pyle Lounge.
Grieves’ topic is “Transcending Borders, Facing Challenges: Journalists and Identity in the Saar-Lor-Lux Region,” which explores radio and television as key tools of reconciliation after World War II between former enemies France and Germany.
Trager will talk about “Browsing Madness and Other Bad Behavior at Borders Boosktore in Singapore,” which looks at how Borders’ bookstore model affected the traditional bookstore culture in Singapore.
