Longtime journalist John Owen teaches at City University in London and took time to talk to Summer in London students last June.

John Owen arrives today for a week as a professional-in-residence, visiting classes and meeting with students throughout the week. Owen, M.A. ’72, Radio and Television, was a long-time head of TV news for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Later, he became the founding director of the European Centre of the Freedom Forum.

Owen is currently professor of international journalism at City University in London. He met with Summer in London students last year and will meet with this year’s group while on campus.

His schedule for the week includes leading discussions in classes each day and small group meetings with broadcast students, those heading to the 2009 Summer in London program and international students.
