Professor emerita Chris Ogan and Roy W. Howard Professor David Weaver had a reunion of sorts with several alumni during a visit to Turkey in June.

The two visited with Harold de Bock, Ph.D. ’74, who is research and consultancy director, MarketResponse, a leading market research company in The Netherlands.

They also spent time with Haluk Sahin, M.A. ’72, Ph.D. ’74, who is political columnist for Radikal, a national newspaper in Turkey; host of a national political talk show in Turkey; and the coordinator of the Television Program and Reporting department of the Faculty of Communications at Bilgi University in Istanbul.

De Bock, Weaver and Sahin were classmates at the IU School of Journalism, where Weaver received his master’s degree in 1969 and de Bock and Sahin received their Ph.D.s.
