Professor Emerita Chris Ogan continues traveling to speak, teach and conduct research around the world.

April 26, she visits Texas Tech University for a conference on New Media Theory: How Far Have we Traveled? Her talk is "New Media Theory: What the Last 10 Years have Told Us."

From there, she travels to Lugano, Switzerland’s Universita della Svizzera Italiano at the invitation of Andreina Mandelli, PhD '98, to teach a three-day session on “Consumer Behavior and New/Old Media.”

Next up is a trip to Istanbul, where she will talk on new media theory at a conference at Marmara University on New Media and Interactivity.

She also will work with the Ipsos market research company on the Turkish part of the European Union’s Kids Online survey, about to be rolled out in Turkey. The project entails interviewing 1,000 parents and 1,000 children and adolescents as part of a European-wide research project headed by Sonia Livingstone and Leslie Haddon from the London School of Economics.
