As one of fewer than 20 students in the nation to receive the fellowship, Ntiamoah will be in New York June 5 to Aug. 6. The program starts with an extensive one-week orientation to broadcasting, cable, advertising and interactive media. Fellows also meet with industry professionals at panels, lectures and group discussions, take field trips and attend industry functions.
Following this first week, each fellow is assigned to a media organization for the rest of the summer to gain full-time, real world experience before setting out to find permanent jobs in the broadcast industry.
