Nord to talk on 1793 ‘citizen journalism’

Professor Dave Nord will give a public lecture Oct. 14 at the American Antiquarian Society in Worcester, Mass., on “A City and a Newspaper: Citizen Journalism in Philadelphia during the Yellow Fever Epidemic of 1793."

Nord is on leave this semester at the society, where he is Mellon Distinguished Scholar in Residence. He has been working on research for an essay on the news milieu of Boston in the 1730s.
