Professor David Nord will be the 2007 Distinguished Visiting Scholar at the School of Journalism, University of Missouri, Oct. 23–25. He will give talks on his research to two graduate seminars and to a faculty brownbag lunch.
The titles of his talks are "Conversations with Carey: The Cultural Turn in Journalism History," "History of Journalism as History of Reading," and "What Should a Newspaper Do? Editors, Reporters, and Readers Argue about Journalism in Early 20th-Century New York."
