Professor David Nord will be a Mellon Distinguished Scholar-in-Residence at the American Antiquarian Society in Massachusetts during summer and fall this year and will co-lead the summer seminar, The Newspaper and the Culture of Print in the Early American Republic.The summer seminar, June 18-23, will focus on the material base of newspaper printing and production, on the business side of newspapers, and on the readers of newspapers and the role that newspapers played in their public and private lives, according to the AAS Web site.
