Newspaper future topic of informatics talk

Gena Asher | Oct. 21, 2008
The next speaker in Rob Kling Center for Social Informatics speaker series will address “Which Future for Newspapers?” at 12:30 p.m. Friday in RTV 226.

A professor of Sociology of Communication at the University of Udine, Leopoldina Fortunati will address the decline of newspapers and the advent of the Internet, which some say has accelerated that decline. She argues that newspapers may not, in fact, be endangered, and she bases this on a study of European journalists and other data.
