More than 80 alumni are planning to attend the School of Journalism Alumni Weekend to help celebrate 140 years of the Indiana Daily Student and reconnect with the school, faculty and staff, and with one another. Many are bringing friends and family, and faculty, staff and IDS staffers plan to attend at least some of the activities as well.
Activities for the Oct. 5-7 event include:
- Open House reception Friday, 5-7 p.m., Ernie Pyle Hall. Visitors can check out the classrooms and auditorium, enjoy refreshments in the lounge and visit the IDS newsroom.
- Tailgate and IU football game Saturday, 10 a.m. with kickoff at noon.
- Brunch Sunday, 10:30 a.m., Tudor Room at the Indiana Memorial Union.
