Assistant professor Emily Metzgar and Albert Maruggi, president of Provident Partners, will present their research at the Society for New Communications Research Symposium Nov. 14 in Cambridge, Mass. The title of their presentation is "Analyzing Social Media in the 2008 Presidential Election." Their research exploits the media monitoring potential of Radian6, a Web-based social media tracking tool. Both Metzgar and Maruggi are SNCR Fellows.
