Assistant professor Emily Metzgar is one of the panelist for the upcoming Critical Issues Forum, “The Obama Presidency at Midterm: The perils and prospects of a post-racial presidency,” at 7 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center.

The center and the African-American and African Diaspora Studies Department are sponsoring the panel discussion, which also features Purnima Bose of the English Department; Sylvester Johnson of Religious Studies; moderator Audrey McCluskey and Fred McElroy of the center; Khalil Muhammad, History; and students Kalimwork Tariu-Shotts, Lynette Anigbo.

A reception in the Bridgwaters Lounge follows the talk. All are welcome to attend.
