Doctoral candidate Yunjuan Luo has received the 2009 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Student Abroad sponsored by the China Scholarship Council to honor the academic merit and research achievements of Chinese students studying abroad.

Yunjuan Luo is one of two awardees at Indiana University since the establishment of this award in 2003. She received the award June 18 at a ceremony in Chicago hosted by the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China.
