Assistant professor Jae Kook Lee will talk about “The Role of Political Knowledge as a Measure of News Reception in Agenda Setting” at the next research colloquium at 4:30 p.m. March 10 in the Ernie Pyle lounge.

Lee will present his study, which tests two competing hypotheses on the role played by political knowledge on media effects. His findings so far show that knowledge was a positive and better predictor of the magnitude of the agenda-setting effect at the individual level than classic media use items.

Launched at the beginning of the semester, the series offers School of Journalism researchers a venue for presenting their latest work and getting feedback from colleagues.
