The next Horizons of Knowledge Lecture features Artemii Troitskii speaking on "Back in the USSR: The story of rock in Russia" at 7 p.m. Oct. 27 in Education 1120.

Troitskii’s multimedia presentation looks at the emergence of rock and roll during the final three decades of the Soviet Union. He is the author of seven books on the music, youth culture, and political life of contemporary Russia.

This lecture is jointly sponsored by the Russian and East European Institute, School of Journalism, Department of Communication and Culture and Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures.
