Learn about travel courses at Sept. 22 info session

Thanks to classes that include a travel component, journalism students have become world travelers, learning about media practices and culture in other countries as a complement to their classroom experiences.

The School of Journalism will host an information session at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 22 in the Ernie Pyle Hall auditorium for those students who want to more details about spring courses that include travel.

Courses scheduled for spring include:
Courses for Summer I:
  • Reporting on HIV/AIDS in Africa gives students experience in health reporting while spending three weeks in Eldoret and Nairobi, Kenya, where they work with Kenyan journalism students, meet with African journalists and explore the IU-Kenya Partnership's AMPATH project. Details and applications available in December.
