Syndicated travel writer Doug Lansky visits campus Oct. 9 for a talk and book signing and to conduct a writing workshop for journalism students.

The workshop is 11:45 a.m. in EP 214 for 25-30 students. Those interested should contact Director of Experiential Education Jessica Gall to reserve a spot.

The evening program is open to all and will be in Whittenberger Auditorium in the IMU at 7:30 p.m. A question and answer session and booksigning will follow.

For his evening talk, he’ll tell the audience how to save money, work abroad, find adventure and avoid scams. For the journalism students, Lansky will share insight on how to write quality pieces of travel journalism.

In his columns and articles, Lansky writes about inexpensive ways to travel and about his adventures. He’s also author of several books on these topics.
