Ph.D. student Gerry Lanosga has been named to the initial board of directors of the Indiana Debate Commission, a new nonprofit organization formed by journalism and civic groups to promote and sponsor fair and open political debates. The group is planning a public kickoff in November with a goal of being ready to sponsor debates in time for the gubernatorial primary next year.
